CDC & EPA's Tips For Killing Coronavirus Germs

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has compiled a list of products that have been proven effective on similar or harder-to-kill viruses.

Additional Tips:

According to the CDC, hydrogen peroxide is a stable and effective disinfectant against viruses when used on hard, non-porous surfaces.

Isopropyl alcohol is an effective disinfectant against many pathogens, including coronavirus, as long as the concentration is 70%.

According the the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC), an easy way to disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces with a product you likely have at home is to combine 1/3 cup of regular chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite) bleach per gallon of water.

Gig Workers Connection Map

Gig Workers Collective created a mutual aid connection feature that'll allow volunteers to connect with gig workers who need assistance. This includes:

Resource connection - Workers need assistance applying for benefits like unemployment, food stamps, hardship programs for medical bills and student loans. Etc.

Virtual buddies - Just someone who can do check-ins and/or offer emotional support for each other. This is an opportunity for gig workers to get introduced to new gig workers in similar circumstances

Running errands - If workers are too sick to go out or they need to stay inside due to an autoimmune condition, they may need help picking up essentials like prescriptions and household essentials.
